Honda CB200X Complete Overview

This new model has been launched by Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) Company, which is a new entry-level crossover motorcycle. The motorcycle is based on Honda’s Hornet 2.0, priced at Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom).

Primarily a commuter bike, it offers a comfortable ride even in high winds on long routes and strong grip on any terrain with dual-sport block pattern tyres. It gets a host of features like long travel suspension, high saddle height and high ground clearance, which add manifold to the off-roading performance.

Based on the new update news, HMSI has revealed the complete details of the bike on 19th August and said that they will start delivering the motorcycle on September 2021, although the bookings for the motorcycle have been started.

This bike mainly gets the ADV-X design and dual-sport block pattern tyres. Design elements include a half-fairing and a smaller windscreen. Apart from this, standard knuckle guards and bash-plates get on the handlebar and stepped seats.

This motorcycle is equipped with an 184cc single-cylinder engine, which helps in generating 17 bhp power and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. All these units are found in Honda Hornet 2.0. The engine gets 8 on-board sensors as well as Honda’s programmed fuel injection, which continuously injects optimum fuel and air mix.

The chassis, suspension and parts of the CB200X model are similar to the Honda Xpluse.

HMSI has been launched on the Indian roads with a price tag of Rs.1.44 lakhs, though it is more expensive than the Hero Xpluse 200 but also cheaper than the Royal Enfield Himalayan. It is priced at Rs 1.20 lakh (XPlus 200) and Rs. 2.05 lakh (Infield Himalayan) respectively. All these prices have been obtained from ex-showroom.

As I told you, this bike is based on Hornet 2.0 and also the new CB200X bike is premium from Hornet. Being premium, it costs Rs 13,318 more than the Hornet 2.0, which is designed as a road-based tourer. It also has the ability to detect light trails when needed.

Design:

It gets the same angular and all-LED V-shaped headlamps as the Hornet 2.0. Apart from this, highlights get a front-heavy fair body, wider handlebar, black windscreen, knuckle guards and engine protector.

As I told you, it comes in three colors, and is available in only one variant. Most of the design parts of the bike are inspired by the CX-02 concept that was first unveiled in India.

Overall, the front of the bike is largely like a small beak, which can move very well even in high wind.

The Honda CB200X has a diamond-shaped frame that holds all the parts together. Apart from this, petal disc brakes (276 mm and 220 mm) are available at both the ends of the bike.
