Based on the news so far, a total of 3 retro styled bikes will be launched in India. And these upcoming bikes will be launched in 2022. Husqvarna and Yezdi models are available in these four bikes.

Yamaha FZ-X Upcoming Retor Bike

Yamaha recently launched its new upcoming retro bike Yamaha FZ-X on 18 June 2021. This is a new retro style entry-level bike from India. The motorcycle is inspired by the Yamaha XSR range, which is sold internationally. 

Some hints suggest that the FZ-series model gets a round full-LED headlamp, a black stripe at the top-center, a boxy fuel tank, an engine cover and a single-piece saddle. Features like dual-purpose tires and fork gaiters have been added to its features.

The spy report also revealed that it will be offered in at least three colors – black, blue and orange. Details about the instrument cluster of this upcoming bike are not available, though it can be expected to see a fully digital unit.

If we look at its specifications, then it uses a 149cc, single-cylinder engine, and this engine can generate 12.2 bhp power and 13.6 Nm peak torque. Apart from this, the shock absorption includes telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. In its braking setup, both the wheels are connected to a single disc brake, while the safety net will include single-channel ABS.

The price of this bike is Rs. 1.24 Lakh, and this price has been obtained from Delhi ex-showroom.

Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 Upcoming Retro Bike

Husqvarna’s two retro-styled bike models, Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 will be brought to Indian shores by the KTM India bike company. If we talk about the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, then this upcoming bike will be offered in a scrambler-style design.

The bike will be offered with a minimalistic body panel, incorporating upright ergonomics and dual-purpose tires.

Coming to India, this model is based on the KTM 390 bike model, in which an engine of 250 cc capacity will be added. Talking about the features, it will get a trellis frame, a rear mono-shock, Wp-sourced upside-down front forks, ByBre-sourced Calipers and disc brakes on both the wheels.

Looking at its feature list, it will get full-LED lighting, ride-by-wheel throttle and a digital instrument cluster.

Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 Upcoming Retro Bike

The Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401 show a lot of similarity, though these two models will be differentiated through their respective styling. The bike will feature clip-on style handlebars for more committed riders’ triangle, and will use cafe-racer wire-spoked wheels like the Svartpilen 401.

The mechanical specifications of this bike are similar to the Svartpilen 401, and will be mated to a 390 Duke-sourced 373cc, liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine. If we look at its power and torque output, then it can be 43 bhp and 37 Nm respectively.

It is to be noted that till now there is no confirmed news of the launch of both these models. But it is expected that it will be seen in the 2022 season. This retro bike will be sold and serviced through KTM outlets in India. Talking about its price, it is also expected that it will be launched at a price of Rs 2.76 lakh.

Yezdi Roadking Upcoming Retro Style Bike

This is one last time a new product from Yezdi, which will come in the form of Classic Legends. It is being said that Mahindra-Subsidiary will revive the Yezdi brand. Yezdi’s upcoming new products will be known as Roadking.

We would like to point out that it is currently difficult to get details about Yezdi Roadking. But a bike model has been seen in some spy pictures. It is believed that a scrambler-X design will be added to this upcoming motorcycle. It will use wire-spoke wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tires.

Furthermore, it is seen in these pictures that the front side of the bike gets many stylish elements like a round headlight, curved fuel tank, single-piece seat and a rear fender-mounted number plate etc.

Talking about the mechanical specifications, its information is also scarce, meaning there is no definite information available about the engine, suspension, brakes etc.

But it is certain that the new retro styled model from Yezdi will be launched in India. However, there is no news about its launch. It is being speculated by the motorcycle industry that it will be launched in the 2022 season.
