1. 2021 KTM 390 Duke
The KTM 390 Duke needs no introduction. It made for performance motorcycling accessible and affordable in India, and it’s got a fantastic fan following, around the world. A combination of phenomenal performance and handling, combined with a price tag, which isn’t astronomical, and also being easy on the pocket to maintain, the KTM 390 Duke is fantastic value for money! And now, the 2020 KTM 390 Duke gets updated to meet the Bharat Stage VI (BS6) emission regulations, but it also gets new colours, as well as a standard up/down quickshifter.
The engine technically hasn’t gone through that many changes or has been changed for the updated 390 Duke to meet the new emission norms. The good news is that it has the exact same output as the BS4 model before – 43 bhp of maximum power at 9,000 rpm, and 37 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm.
What KTM has done is adopted a bigger catalytic converter, and that has translated to a slightly compromised ground clearance – down from 175 mm on the outgoing model to 151 mm on the 2020 model. But what the new 390 Duke also gets is a standard, bi-directional quickshifter, which enables clutchless upshifts and downshifts. It’s a first-in-segment feature and seen only in much more expensive superbikes.
What have also changed are the colours. The all-orange bodywork is now replaced by two-new colours – Silver Metallic and Ceramic White, with new graphics and orange wheels. It’s given the bike fresh appeal, and other features like ride-by-wire, slipper clutch, dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode, full-colour TFT display, and LED headlights are all retained.

Currently available bikes which are similar to 302S are Kawasaki Ninja 300, KTM 390 Adventure & BMW G 310 GS. Another bike similar to 302S is Benelli 302R which is launching in August 2021 in India.
The Benelli 302S is the model that will replace the TNT 300. As such, it retains a lot of the elements of the TNT300. It has a steel trestle frame, and a 300cc parallel-twin motor that generates 37bhp and 26Nm. A six-speed manual gearbox is standard – but there’s no word yet on whether a slipper clutch will be standard.
Braking is courtesy of twin 260mm petal discs in the front and a single 240mm disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS will be standard. Inverted front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock make up the suspension. The fuel tank has a capacity of 16 liters, which is quite large for this spec of a motorcycle.

3. 2021 KTM RC 200
Design
The most notable change to the design is the updated front fascia. The 2021 model drops the twin-pod projector-style headlight from its predecessor for a halogen unit. The front blinkers, too, have been replaced, and the 2021 RC200 gets fairing mounted units. The spy image from the factory also revealed the new set of decals on the 2021 model. Apart from styling revisions, KTM will most likely tweak the chassis, and add a bolted sub-frame to the 2021 RC200. The 200 Duke naked roadster already uses a similar setup. KTM has retained the underbelly exhaust setup which gives the motorcycle a clean look from the sides.
Engine
The motor on the current model is already BS6 compliant, and thus we do not expect to see any changes to the mechanical specifications. The 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine on the current model makes 25bhp and 19Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle should continue to use a six-speed gearbox.
