2. Yamaha WR 155R
The demand for dual-sport motorcycles in India has seen a hike in the last few years. At present, the Hero XPulse 200 is one of the most affordable dual-sport motorcycles available in the market but it comes with a higher price tag. That’s why Yamaha will launch their bike in a lesser amount than both of these bikes.
Powering the WR 155R is the same 155 cc single-cylinder engine that handles duties in the Yamaha R15 V3. It is indeed a very capable mill. However, the liquid-cooled engine has been slightly detuned for the WR 155R to suit its character. It produces 16.7 PS of power at 10,000 rpm and 14.3 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The WR 155R has a ground clearance of 245 mm and a seat height of 880 mm. The bike weighs just 134 kg. It has minimal bodywork and a single-piece handlebar for ease of riding.
Yamaha is currently studying the Indian market. If it receives positive response for the WR 155R, it could launch the motorcycle in the country sometime next year. The company sells it in Indonesia for IDR 36,900,000 (INR 1.82 lakh). It is available in two colour options – Blue and Black.

The specifications of the Yamaha FZ-X have been leaked via NCR RTO approval documents. It will essentially be a more rugged-looking variant of the Yamaha FZ-S FI.
The Yamaha FZ-X will be powered by the same 149cc engine found on the FZ-S. It churns out 12.4PS and 13.3Nm, mated to a 5-speed transmission. The motorcycle is likely to pack a gaitered front fork with a beak-like fender, knuckle guards, bash plate, engine guard, and perhaps block pattern tyres. The alloy wheels might be the same 17-inch units at both ends as the FZ-S considering the wheelbase is unchanged at 1,330mm. Yamaha is likely to launch the FZ-X adventure bike in June at a premium of around Rs 6,000 over the FZ-S, which is priced at Rs 1.08 lakh

4. 2021 Yamaha MT 03
Yamaha has finally taken the wraps off the 2020 MT-03. For 2021, the sports naked gets a sharp and angular design. It comes with a new LED headlamp setup similar to that of the MT-15. Yamaha has unveiled its new MT-03 which will make its way to India this year. The bike now features dual LED position lamps and an LED headlight as well as revised bodywork.
Also new are the 37mm KYB upside-down front fork and the spring rates on the preload-adjustable rear shock. The fully digital LCD instrument cluster is another new addition to the updated MT-03. The bike shares its parallel-twin 321cc engine with the R3, and we expect it to have similar output too. Braking duties are taken care of by a 298mm disc up front and a 220mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS being offered as standard.
The MT-03 is expected to come to India sometime next year at a price of Rs 3.3 lakh – Rs 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom), and it will take on the likes of the KTM 390 Duke, the BMW G 310 R, and the Honda CB 300R.
