Hero Electric, the leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer in the country, will be launching a new high-speed e-scooter soon. The new products will focus on both performance and range. So let’s discuss the all-new hero upcoming electric bikes

1. Hero Electric AE-29

Hero Electric AE-29 is expected to launch in India in October 2021 in the expected price range of ₹ 85,000 to ₹ 90,000. Currently available bikes which are similar to AE-29 are Odyssey Hawk, BGauss B8 & Belling Aura. Another bike similar to AE-29 is TVS Creon which is launching in June 2021 in India.

Hero Electric is one of India’s well-established electric two-wheeler manufacturers, already having a decent line-up. The company intends to expand its portfolio further and this was apparent at the Auto Expo 2020 where it showcased a host of products. One of these offerings was the AE-29 electric scooter which is mainly focused on urban mobility.

While the AE-29 boasts of a somewhat conventional design, it gets several modern features such as full-LED lighting, a fully-digital console, Bluetooth connectivity, anti-theft alarm system, and walk and reverses assist and a mobile charger. As for its propulsion setup, a 3.5kW battery powers a 1kW motor which assists the scooter in achieving a top speed of 55kmph. The claimed battery range stands at 80km while charging time has been affirmed to be four hours.

2. Hero Electric AXLHE-20

The new Hero Electric scooter, codenamed AXHLE-20, will be the top-of-the-line offering in the brand’s product portfolio. It will belong to a segment named ‘High Speed series’. High Speed series currently comprises of three Hero Electric scooters: Nyx, Photon and Photon 72V. The AXHLE-20 will be the costliest one of the lot.

the AXHLE-20 will be powered by a 4kW motor (8bhp) which can propel it to speeds up to 85km/h; a rather decent figure. Reports also suggest that the AXHLE-20 will have a range of 110kms on a single charge.
