The Okinawa Oki100 electric bike has been finally teased by the manufacturer. Here’s everything you can expect from the upcoming motorcycle.
We had caught up with Okinawa’s Managing Director and got to know quite some interesting details about the production version of the Oki100. The Oki100 will offer performance similar to 125cc petrol-powered commuter motorcycles. It will come with a claimed range of 150km and will be powered by a frame-mounted electric motor.
Expect the bike to get a telescopic front fork, rear mono-shock, disc brake on both ends with CBS in terms of underpinnings. As far as the features are concerned, the upcoming electric bike will get smartphone connectivity and an all-LED lighting system.

4. Evolet Hawk
The Evolet Hawk will be Rissala Electric Motors’ full-faired electric sportbike, and is expected to be launched in the first half of 2020. The Hawk has an attractive and sporty design, and looks sharp, in the flesh with its sculpted front fairing, and projector headlamp. It will get clip-on handlebars, and a full-digital instrument console, along with telescopic front forks and a monoshock rear suspension.
Braking is handled by twin discs on the front wheel, and a single disc brake set-up on the rear wheel. The wheels are 17-inch at both ends and will be shod with tubeless rubber. The Evolet Hawk claims a top speed of 80 kmph, with a claimed range of 150 km on a single charge. Charging time is rated at 5 hours. The Evolet Hawk will also likely get the dedicated Evolet mobile app, which will offer a long list of features, including service reminders, service appointments, over-the-air updates, and geo-fencing.
So far, the company hasn’t disclosed the hardware used in the Evolet Hawk, but we expect it to be powered by a brushless DC motor and lithium-ion battery. Going by the attractive prices of the first electric scooters from Evolet, the Hawk will likely be priced under Rs. 1.5 Lakh, in our estimates, at around Rs. 1 – 1.25 Lakh.
